Duct Tape Dummy Guide

  1. Gather Materials: Heavy Duty Duct Tape, Paper Towels, Painter’s Smock, Marker, Surgical Scissors
  2. Using small strips, keep the tape close to the body without cutting off circulation. Start at the core and move to the extremities. Note: you will need to have a person you trust help you in sensitive areas -make sure they and you are ok with that.
  3. After taping up the crotch, work your way down the legs till covered. Make sure to criss cross tape. Follow up with the armpits, making sure it is as close and flat as possible for an accurate fit. Leave the zipper accessible as you tape up the torso
  4. Leave the arms for last. Hold them straight out and brace them with something tall to help out. Use papertowels in areas where the smock has been pulled back too far so that the duct tape can reach your wrists, your ankles, and around the base of your neck.
  5. Use a marker to make your cut lines and hash marks. Make sure to also mark your elbows, knees, and the small of your back where the tail will sit.
  6. Use the surgical scissors slowly and start with the arms, moving from the wrists up to the neck. Follow up with the ankles up to the thigh. Unzip the smock to wiggle the rest of the way out. Fold and pack up your DTD to ship out!
